Effect of soman on the neuro-muscle junctional and extrajunctional nicotinic acetylcholine receptors
Abstract：<正> Autoradiography of nicotinic acetytcholine receptors（N-ACHR）with the application ofhistochemical staining location of cholinesterase was used to observe the effect of soman onjunctional and extrajunctional N-AChR.Testing with the diaphragms and extensor digitorum longusmuscles of mice and rats,we found that soman mainly increased the number of extrajunctionalN-AChR.It did not alter the number of junctional N-AChR significantly,nor did it have any pro-nouneed effects on the gtycoprotein property and isoelectfic point（pI）of junctional andextrajunctional N-AChR.The change of extrajunctional N-AChR number caused by somanis similar to the phenomenon of increased extrajunctional N-AChR number and sensitivity resultingfrom denervation,but the mechanism of action is different from the latter.The increase ofN-AChR number is one of the important characteristics of soman poisoning which make it differ-ent from other nerve agents.To maintain the metabofic balance of N-AChR may be an importantnew approach to the treatment of soman poisoning.0|3|0Updated：2026-03-12 - Abstract：<正> The mitechondrial respiratory rate（S）of hepatocytes,respiratory control ratio（RCR）,oxidative phosphorylation effidency（ADP/O）,and hepatic ATP level were determined in ratswith acute obstructive cholangitis（AOC）to observe the changes of mitochondrial respiration,andthe therapeutic effects of verapamil and dexamethasone on the changes were assessedIt was found that S especially its state IV was significantly accelerated and RCR,ADP/O,and ATP level of the liver decreased at 6h after AOC,but in those rats treated with verapamilor dexamethasone,no significant changes of these parameters were observed in 48 h period afterAOC.These facts suggest that in the early stage of AOC,severe impairment of the mitochondrialrespiratory function and disturbance of energy metabolism could be present,but verapamil anddexamethasone could effectively prevent these damages from occurring.0|7|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> The specimens of this study were obtained from 110 cases of chronic hepatitis,108cirrhosis and 110 primary hepatic carcinoma（PHC）.Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded seetions were stained by ABC method forHBxAg,and by PAP method for HRsAg and HBcAgOf the 110 cases of chronic hepatitis,72（65.5％）were positive HBxAg in the liver cells,66（60％）were postitive in HBsAg and 35（31.8％）in HBcAg.Among the 108 eases of drrhosis,84（77.8％）revealed to be HBxAg positive in the liver cells,73（67.6％）were demonstrated to beHBsAg-positive and 18（16.7％）were shown to be HBcAg-positive.Among the 110 eases of pri-mary hepatic carcinoma,64（58.2％）showed HBxAg-positive reaction in cancerous tissues.Therates of positive HRsAg and HBcAg in tumor tissues were 15.5％ and 10.9％,respectively.Six-ty-three（78.8％）of 80 cases of the non-cancerous hepatic tissues displayed HBxAg positivenessand the rates of positive HRsAg and HBcAg in the non-tumor tissues were 47（58.8％）and 21（2.6.3％）,respectively.The above-mentioned results sugared that the detection rote of HBxAg inchronic hepatitis,cirrhosis and PHC was higher than that of HBsAg and HBcAg.This studydemonstrates a dose relationship between chronic hepatitis,cirrhosis,PHC and chronic persistentinfection of hepatitis B virus（HBV）.Persistent chronic HBV infection plays an important role inthe pathogenesis of chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis and PHC.It is possible that the detection ofHBxAg with anti-HBx could be an additional new diagnostic marker for HBV infection.Howev-er,the role of HBxAg in the pathogenesis of chronic liver diseases needs to be furtherinvestigated.0|9|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> Uitraviolet（UV）light irradiation acting on human low density lipoprotein（LDL）couldgive rise to oxidative modification of LDL.Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances（TBARS）,rela-five electrophorefic mobility（REM）,relative fluorescence intensity at 420 nm（the excitation wavelength was 360nm）and lipid conjugated dienes of UV-irradiated LDL were all elevated withthe increase of irradiation time.Addition of 0.01％ EDTA into the irradiation system could inhi-bit this reaction,but the effect was not so potent as that induced in the Cu2+-PBS-LDLoxidative modification system China green tea polyphenols（CGTP）,on the other hand,had aneffective inhibitory effect with obvious dose-effect relationship.It was proposed that lipidperoxidation of LDL induced by free radicals which were generated from UV-irradiation andthe inhibitory effect of CGTP was attributed to its strong antioxidative action.0|15|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> The effects of 7.5％ NaCl-6％ dextran 70 in small dosage on the cardiovascular func-tion and the survival rate in hemorrhagic shock at a simnlated altitude of 4000 m were observedin dogs.The animals were bled from the femoral artery for 8 rain to reduce the mean arterialpressure to 5.73±0.1kPa,which was maintained for an hour.Then the dogs were intravenouslyinjected with 4ml/kg 0.9％ NaCL（NS group,n=7）,7.5％ NaCl（HS group,n=6）and 7.5％Naa-6％ dextran 70（HSD group,n=6）respectively.In the 2-hour-period after injection,5out of 7 dogs of NS group died but only 1 out of the 6 of both the HS and HSD groupsdied.Significant increase of mean arterial pressure,left ventricular pressure,±dp/dt max of leftventricle,cardiac output,cardiac index and cardiac minute work index was observed in both theHS and HSD groups.Improvement of the cardiovascular function was even more marked inHSD group than in HS group,thougth the difference between the 2 groups was statisticallyinsignificant.There was a tendency for the pulmonary vascular resistance to decrease in HS andHSD groups as compared with the NS group.The percentage of plasma expansion of HSDgroup was larger than that of HS group（P<0.05）and of NS group（P<0.01）,but nosignificant difference existed between the HS and NS groups.It is believed that intravenous injection of hypertonic saline alone or in combination with dextran is effective for the treatment ofhemorrhagic shock at high altitude and the combination of 7.5％ NaCl and 6％ dextran 70seems even more effective.0|7|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> The lumbar ligaments play an important role in spinal biomechanics.The results ofthree-dimensional finite dement analysis showed that one of the functions of lumbar ligaments istransmission of the tensile load between the lumbar vertebrae.The anterior longitudinal ligament isloaded in extension of lumbar spine and the resistance to the tensile load in flexion is providedby other ligaments.These ligaments are subject to much more tension with degeneration of theintervertebral disc so that a series of pathological changes occur.Relevant significance in clinical as-pect is also discussed.0|19|0Updated：2026-03-12

Distribution of HBV DNA and HBsAg in the liver of patients with liver cirrhosis and its significance
Abstract：<正> Hepatitis B virus（HBV）DNA and HBsAg were detected in 51 human paraf-fin-embedded sections of liver cirrhosis by the double labelling technique of in situ hybfidiza-tion and PAP method.The results showed that the positive sections were 21（41.2％）for HBVDNA,43（84.3％）for HBsAg and 19（37.3％）for both HBV DNA and HBsAg.HBV DNA-positivegrains were localized predominantly in the cytoplasm of hepatic cells or in both nucleus andcytoplasm,a few only in the nucleus or the inner side of the cell membrane.In active cirrhosisand inactive cirrhosis,the positive rates of HBV DNA were 52.8％ and 13.3％,respectively,andfor both HBV DNA and HBsAg,they were 47.2％ and 13.3％ restively.The positive rate ishigher in active cirrhosis than in inactive cirrhosis（P<0.05）.The results further indicated that theinfection of HBV and the existence and persistent action of HBV DNA in the liver tissues areone of the important factors of the development of liver cirrhosis.0|4|0Updated：2026-03-12 - Abstract：<正> The human epidermal growth factor gene was synthesized with DNA synthesizer andby enzymes.Computer assisted to design the gene sequence and the restriction enzyme sites,andto elhninate the repeated and self-complementary sequences.So that multiple doning and gene ex-pression were available for the designed gene sequence.The whole gene was formed by annealing8 chemically synthesized oligodeoxynucleotide fragments,enzymatically filling up the 4 twenty-basespaces and ligating the nicks,and was inserted into EcoR I and HInc Ⅱ sites ofplasmid pUC12.The recombinant plasmid was transformed into E.coli JM103 and 200 whitedones were obtained by X-gal and ampicilin screening.The positive clones were isolated andcharacterized by restriction enzyme analysis and DNA sequencing.0|3|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> One hundred and fifty Wistar rats were randomized into a control group with shamoperation and a left coronary artery occlusion group.Specimens of the blood and myocardiumwere collected at different intervals m 2 months after operation.The morphological changes ofthe myocardium were observed trader optical and electron microscope.Malondialdehyde（MDA）level of the serum and myocardial homogenate,and the activities of lactic dehydrogenase（LDH）,succinic dehydrogenase（SDH）and ATPase and histochemical changes of calcium in the ischemicmyocardium were studied.It was found that the mafia changes of myocardial infarction weremyocardial necrosis in the early stage and repair in the late stage.The ultrastructural changes ofischemic injury appeared quite early and involved ahnost all the subcellular organelles.The repairin the late stage was mainly incomplete regeneration of a few myoo.trdM cells.The significanceof the“junction-like”structure of fibroblasts was not dean,it was probably one of themorphological basis of scars.The activities of the enzymes were quickly suppressed afterocclusion,which suggests the exhaustion of energy metabolism.The MDA level of the myocardialhomogenate elevated in the first 24 h after occlusion,suggesting that myocardial ischemia can in-crease lipid peroxidation reduced by oxygen free radicals,It might be one of the Factors of theirreversibility of ischemic myocardial damage.0|3|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> Effects of WH-1 and WH-2 eye drops on experimental allergic uveitis（FAU）in rabbits induced by bovine serum albumin were clinically and pathologically observed in comparisonwith local drops of dexamethasone used as positive control.The results showed that WH-2 obvi-ously inhibited the inflammatory reactions while WH-1 did not.Protein concenwation in the aqueoushumor of WH-2-treated group of rabbits was 9.24±2.34mg/ml,which was notably lower（P<0.01）than both that of the untreated（14.33±3.14 mg/ml）and of the WH-1-treated（12.91±3.95mg/ml）,but signifificantly higher than that of the dexame dexamethasone-treated goup（4.43±1.43mg/ml,P<0.01）.The alleviation of the intraocular inflammatory reaction by therapy of WH-2eye drops was confimed pathologically.This study indicates that WH-2 has a positiveantiphlogistic effect on EAU in rabbits.0|7|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> The structural variations of hemoglobin beta chains in three groups of mice developed inChina,inbred strains SMMC/B（abbreviated as B）,SMMC/C（as C）,and a noninbred parentalstock,Kunming（as K）,have been investigated.Dissociation analysis of beta c chains showed that B,C and Ksingle mice have only one kind of beta chain attributed to HbbB,Hbbc and HbbKsinglegenotypes,each coding for only one unique amino acid sequence.The genotype of Kpair group isattributed to HbbKpair(i.e.HbbKmaj/HbbKmin).This fact indicates that the HbbKpairallele is composedof two linked genes,coding for structurally different beta chains,beta Kmaj and beta Kmin.As aconsequence of inbreeding and possible natural selection,the genetic fixation of Hbbsinglein the Band C strains and the elutriation of both HbbKsingleand HbbKmaj/HbbKminin the K stock are dis-cussed.0|7|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> Forty rots were randomized into 2 groups and naloxone or saline were injected to therats after they were inflicted with hemorrhagic shock at sea level and at a simulated altitude of4000m respectively to observe the effects of naloxone on left ventricular systolic pressure（LVSP）,left ventricular diastolic pressure（LVDP）,the maximal changing rate of LVSP（dp/dt max）,heartrate（HR）,and survival time of the animals.Plasma β-endorphin（β-EP）was determined beforeand after hemorrhage to observe the relationship between β-EP and hemorrhagic shock.It wasfound that the circulatory parameters of hemorrhagic shock changed more markedly at high alti-tude than at sea level,naloxone could restore these parameters and prolong the survival time inboth the animals of the sea level and high altitude groups,and plasma β-EP level was elevatedafter hemorrhage especially in those animals at high altitude.These findings indicate:（1）Hemorrhagic shock at high altitude is usually accompanied with severe clinical manifestations,rapid progression,and high mortality.（2）β-EP seems to participate in the pathologicalmanifestafions of hemorrhagic shock at high altitude,and its depressive action on myocardialcontraction may be one of the factors inducing hemorrhagic shock.（3）Naloxone possesses defi-nite property to comet hemorrhagic shock at high altitude.0|3|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> Glioma-infiltrating lymphocytes（GIL）were isolated from 9 surgical biopsy specimens of pri-mary brain gliomas using mechanical and enzymatic digestion and discontinuous density gradientcentfifugation.Durng culture in the presence of interleukin-2（IL-2）for a period of four weeks,GIL were expanded by 48.4-fold on the avea-age,even up to 118-fold.GIL activated by IL-2 hadspcific cytolytic activity against autologous glioma cells.Analysis of cell surface phenotypes offreshly isolated GIL showed that CD3+ cells were 71.0±11.9％,CD4+ cells 34.2±6.1％ and CD8+cells 37.0±7.6％.Ability of IL-2-activated GIL to secrete γ-interferon（γ-IFN）was significantlyhigher than that of freshly isolated GIL and autologous peripheral blood lymphocytes（PBL）.Theresults suggest that GIL have many advantages as an adoptive immunotherapy for patients withgliomas and as a new type of antitumor immune effector.0|3|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> There are 6 epidemic models of hepatitis A in the world.In China,there are 3 mod-els,namely,Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou models.In 1979,Schenzle proposed a modifiedsimple catalytic model whose force of infectivity is a logistic function.We made a modifiedmodel with the infectivity force of a linear or conic function.According to the actual data,theauthors have fitted 3 epidemic models.The results are satifactory as proved by the x2-test ofgoodness of fit.The analysis of the models indicates that the force of infectivity has been lower inShanghai than in Beijing and Guangzhou since·1970.An interesting finding is that the differencebetween the 3 epidemic models is due to the function of infectivity force of hepatitis A.0|12|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> Study was carried out in rabbits to determine whether 3,4’,5-trihydroxystibene-3-β-nono-D-glucoside（PD）has wasodilative action using volumetric method.The result showed PD（1.71 mol/L）caused a right shift of the cumulative concentration-reponse curve of uorepinephfine（NE）and lowered the maximal response of rabbit’s pulmonary arteries.It implies that PD couldinhibit the vasoconstfictive effect of NE in a noncompetitive manner.PD dilated the pulmonaryarteries（4.09 and 5.12mmol/L）and the carotid（5.12mmol/L）of rabbits.This PD-induced relax-ation of puhnonary artenes was weakened by propranolol（87.8μmol/L）.0|3|0Updated：2026-03-12

- Abstract：<正> One hundred and sixty-eight specimens of intestinal metaplasia（IM）with variousaccompanying lesions in gastric mucosa were studied with mucohistochemical and ABCimmunohistochemical staining,The quantitative analysis of cell DNA was done withflowcytometry for 36 specimens.The results indicated that the incidence of type Ⅱb IM wassignificantly higher in the groups of dysplasia（34.6％）and mucosa adjacent to gastric cancer（GC）（51.7％）than in the chronic atrophic gastritis（CAG）group（16.0％）（P<0.01）.The expres-sion rate of monoclonal antibody MG7 related antigen（MG7-Ag）in type Ⅱb IM（473％）wasalso significantly higher than those in type la（29.7％）,Ib（26.1％）and Ⅱa IM（28.3％）（P<0.05）.Expression rate of MG7-Ag,DNA aneuploid rate and percentage of S phase cell werestatistically higher in the type Ⅱb IM with dysphsia（62.5％,62.5％ and 143±32）than in typeⅡb 1M without dysplasia（47.3％,12.5％and12.7±2.9）（P<0.05 and P<0.01）.These findingssuppor the supposed progressive process:CAG→type Ⅱb IM→dysplasia→GC,andtype Ⅱb IM with dysplasia is closely associated with GC.0|5|1Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> An mvestigation and analysis of 229 deal-mute children revealed that 54.2％ of ac-quired deafness were mused by ototoxic aminoglycoside drugs.There is an upward trend of the oc-cunence of the disease in the recent years and more attention should be paid to it.The result ofpure tone audiometry showed that more than 90.4％ of deaf-mute children had some residualhearing.Twenty-six deal-mute children whose average hearing thresholds of speech frequency werebetter them 90dB（HL）had serviceable speech for daily use 3 after 3 to 18 months’ speech Warn-ing,and 4 of them were transferred to ordinary primary schools.The authors are of the opinionthat the deaf-mute children should use heating-aids as early as possible so as to promote theirspeech.0|7|0Updated：2026-03-12
- Abstract：<正> Ninety-two asymptomafic subjects were investigated to determine whether they were in-fected with Helicobacter pylori（HP）by means of fiber gastroscopy, urease test andWarthin-Starry silver stain.As a result of this work,49 subjects with HP infection were found.Under gastroscope,24 of 92 subjects had normal gastric mucosa 45 suffered frompiebaldism-like congestion of the gastric mucosa and 23 mucosal erosion,but the differencesamong the detectable rotes of them had no statistical significance（P>0.05）.Forty-six of the subjects with HP infection were seen in the 67 patients with gastritis and only 3 in the subjectswith normal mucosa.The positive rates of HP infection in the patients with moderate and serfous gastritis were significant highly（P<0.01）,as compared with that in mild gastritis.It could besuggested that HP infection and the gastritis associated with it may universally exist in“healthy persons”without symptom.0|6|0Updated：2026-03-12
