Abstract:Objective: To detect the different morphologic features, developmental regulation, potential of proliferation and differentiation of neonatal rat cochlea progenitor spheres. Methods: We isolated the cochlea sensory epithelium cells from neonatal rats and cultured them in nonadherent conditions to acquire different morphologic spheres. Then we observed the diameter and compositional change of cell colonies in distinct sphere types on day 3, 6, 9 and 12, and summarized the regularity of development and their conversion. We also detected the proliferative activity of distinct spheres by immunohistochemical staining of Abcg2, Nestin and BrdU. After induced spontaneous differentiation, the spheres were detected in the changes of the marker of hair cell, MyosinVIIA; by immunocytochemical staining, we revealed the potential of how different spheres were converted into hair cell-like cells. Results: The acquired three types of suspended spheres are solid, transitional, and hollow. There’s morphologic significance among them and they can covert into the other type of spheres among them. The ability of self-renewing and proliferation in distinct spheres vary and all of them have the potential of spontaneously differentiation into hair cell-like cells. Conclusion: All the type of spheres not only has the potential of proliferation and differentiation, but also hasthe potential of spontaneous differentiation into hair cell-like cells. Distinct types of cell spheres neither originate from different progenitor cell subcolonies nor are different stages of the same cell spheres. Solid spheres are most practically useful.

Abstract:Objective: To review the evidence for tamsulosin as medical expulsive therapy in enhancing the effectiveness of distal ureteral stone clearance rate. Methods: We searched Pubmed/Medline, Embase, CBM and the Cochrane Library up to October 2011. All randomized controlled trials in which tamsulosin was evaluated with distal ureterolithiasis were eligible for the analysis. Outcome measure assessed was stone clearance rate. Two authors independently assessed study quality and extracted data. All data were analyzed using RevMan 5.1. Results: Thirteen studies involving 1067 participants met the inclusion criteria. Study duration ranged from 7 to 42 d. The pooled analysis showed an improvement of 41% in stone clearance rate of tamsulosin as medical expulsive therapy for distal ureteral calculi (RR=1.41, 95% CI=1.18 to 1.70). According to stone size (6 mm<size<10 mm, 5 mm<size<6 mm, size <5 mm), the pooling effects of tamsulosin were analyzed, with a higher stone expulsion rate obtained than control (RR=1.52, 1.75, 1.05, 95% CI=1.30 to 1.77, 1.25 to 2.45, 0.95 to 1.16, respectively). Adverse effects of tamsulosin, mainly retrograde ejaculation, dizziness and hypotension, were reported in 7 included trials. Conclusion: Treatment with tamsulosin appears to be a safe and effective medical expulsion therapy for distal ureterolithiasis. To make a definite clinical recommendation to use tamsulosin as medical expulsive treatment for distal ureteral calculi, high quality multicentric, randomized, double blinded, controlled trials are necessary to prove its efficacy.
Abstract:An attempt had been made to isolate and identify the low polar volatile constituents from Isodon excisa. The dried plants were heat extracted with ethanol and then extracted with petroleum ether. The constituents were isolated and analyzed by GC-MS and then we retrieved them on NIST08 mass spectrometry database to determine their structures. Finally, successful results were achieved, 111 compounds were obtained and identified. 105 of them were reported for the first time in Isodon excisa and 22 of them were first found in natural products. Thus, the main constituents of it were found to be Sitosterol (33.28%), 3-Amino-4-pyrazolecarbonitrile (9.55%).

Abstract:Objective: To investigate the current status of medical support in military operations other than war (MOOTW) in domestic and overseas. Methods: This paper mainly adopts the descriptive, comparative and induction research methods. The current status of medical support in MOOTW in China, America, Russia, Israel, Canada, had been studied through some official papers, and series of professional books by analysis the precise date in various kinds of emergency event. Results: The contrast shows that there is still a quite huge development in medical support in MOOTW, no matter in China, or in other countries. Conclusion: In order to strengthen the forces, besides building professional rescue teams, it is necessary to take a regular revise of plans, according to missions` needs.
Abstract:In recent years, the retired veteran cadres have grown older and older, and their numbers have also increased year by year. In this case, how to maintain the physical and mental health of empty nest veteran cadre, and further improve the quality of their life has been a realistic problem many primary health care doctors have to face and solve.
Abstract:Military retired cadres were commonly in aged period with high-incidence of diseases. They were troubled with senility, illness, empty-nest syndrome and spouse-bereft, so they were more vulnerable to some psychological problems. Therefore, promoting the mental health service for retired cadres should be highly concerned and more professional service work should be provided to them.
