Abstract:<正> Here presents a report on the preparation, chemical composition andphysico-chemical properties of photocarcinorin(PsD-007),a new drug ofphotolocalization and photochemotherapy for human malignancies. It was shownby the results of thin layer and high performance liquid chromatographic(TLC &HPLC)analyses that about 85% of its total weight are relatively hydrophorbicporphyrins of unknown structure,in which a fraction with the same retention timeas hematoporphyrin(Hp)monoacetate constitutes more over 60%.There are also4.2%,of Hp,8.6% of 3(8)-hydroxyethyl-8(3)-vinyl deuteroporphyrin(HVD)and0.6% of protoporphyrin(Pp)in this drug. The presence and amount of HVD inPsD 007 were determined by an authentic sample prepared by authors.Thechanges of the composition of PsD-007 on exposure to different doses of argonlaser(514.5+488nm)irradiation were detected by HPLC.The variations in Soretpeak of UV absorption spectra of PsD-007 protected from light at a constanttemperature were also determined.
Abstract:<正> This study reports the dynamic changes of whole blood and plasmaviscosity, reduced viscosity of whole blood, hematocrit, erythrocyte sedimentationrate(ESR)and K value of ESR equation in the different phases of 130 patientswith epidemic hemorrhagic fever(EHF),in comparison with their normal ranges. There were significant changes(P<0.05~0.01)in the above mentioned itemsexcept for ESR in the febrile phase,ESR and K value of ESR equation in thehypotensive phase, and plasma viscosity in the diuretic and convalescent phases.Clinically, the whole blood viscosity increased by 24% during the hypotensivephase and by 18.7% during the febrile phase. The authors believe that the increaseof the whole blood viscosity could slow down the blood circulation, and decreaseoxygen saturation of the tissue and cardiac output. Thus,it is an effectivemeasure to control the rising of the whole blood viscosity in the treatment of EHF.
Abstract:<正> Full thickness burns(20% TBSA)was produced in male Wistar rats.Liver mitochondrial function was determined polarographicallly on the 9th daypostburn(PB).In another group of animals, burn eschar was removed on the 9thday PB and extracted with 0.9% NaCl solution(CEBE).Extract of normal ratskin(ENS)was prepared similarly.Liver mitochondria were prepared fromnormal rats and incubated with CEBE or ENS.The respiratory function wasthen determined. It was found that the respiratory control ratio(RCR)in the burned animalswas much depressed(63.7%)as compared with the normal value. In the secondset of experiment,RCR was also inhibited in the CEBE-treated mitochondria, mainly due to the elevation of the state 4 respiration rate. The RCR value in theENS-treated mitochondria also showed certain degree of inhibition but it wasmuch weaker than that in the CEBE-treated group(P<0.01).The inhibitoryeffect was totally absent in higher dilutions in the ENS group while in theCEBE-treated group slight but definite inhibition was found up to the dilutionof 1:512.Energization of inner membrane was also affected by CEBE(3 experiments). When normal mitochondria were incubated with CEBE,the“blue shift”phenomenon was either diminished or totally absent.Besides, the extent ofdecrease of the maximal absorbancy was much smaller than that of the controlsafter the administration of substrates.Slight inhibitory effects were also observedin more concentrated suspensions of ENS.The mechanism of this inability ofmembrane energization was briefly discussed.
Abstract:<正> An ELISA indirect sandwich method using monoclonal antibodies(McAb)against hem-orrhagic fever with renal syndrome(HFRS)virus has been developed fordetections of HFRS virus antigen and specific antibody.Dynamic changes of HFRS virusantigens in the cells infected and their culture supernatants were observed by indirectfluorescence-antibody technique(IFAT)and ELISA separately. It was shown that HFRSvirus antigens in the cells and in the supernatants peaked separately 8 days and 14 daysafter infection.A hundred and seventy-nine brain and lung specimens of suckling miceinfected were examined by ELISA and IFAT.The positive rates were 72.1% and 68.2%,respectively.Furthermore,the IgM antibodies of 121 sera from HFRS patients wereexamined by ELISA and IFAT.The positive rates were 90.1% and 83.5% respectively. The IgG antibodies of 178 sera from HFRS patients were also examined by the twomethods, and both of the positive rates were 89.3%.The antibody titer measured byELISA was higher than the titer by IFAT.The above results suggest that the ELISA is aspecific and sensitive method and can be used for early diagnosis, epidemiologicalsurveillance and etiological study of HFRS.
Abstract:<正> Eight specimens of the knee were used to determine quadricepsforce(FQ)required to stabilize the knee under load in a flexed stance. It wasfound that there was a positive relationship between quadriceps force and theweight and flexion of the knee.At flexion of 15°FQ was about the same as theweight;at 45°,about 3-4 times the weight.FQ increased by 10-40% afterpatellectomy, while anterior displacement of the tibial tubercle by 1.5cm led to11—19%,decrease because of its prolonged lever arm.It widened the angleformed by the quadriceps tendon and the patellar tendon by an average of 10.7degrees.The contact areas of the patellofemoral joint at flexion of 0—135° weredetermined by contact prints.Following anterior displacement of the tibialturbercle, contact areas were upwardly shifted and enlarged. Our results showthat this procedure can decrease the patellofemoral contact stress by lengtheningthe lever arm of FQ,widening the angle formed by the quadriceps tendon andpatellar tendon and enlarging contact areas of the patellofemoral joint.Werecommend it as a possible satisfactory treatment for the patellofemoral jointdisorders.
Abstract:<正> The characteristics of the soft tissue wounds of the hind legs of 155dogs produced by stainless-steel spherical pellets of different masses and velocitieswere observed. It was found that when the mass of the pellets was identical, thenthe velocity of the pellets was the main factor to determine the severity of the tissuedamage;when the mass of the pellets was different and their kinetic energy wassimilar, then a small but fast pellet produced more severe damage than a large butslow one.Shallow and extensive wounds were usually developed. The rate ofdisability of the extremities inflicted with such a kind of wound was very high. These characteristics of the soft tissue wound give rise to new problems in themanagement of gun-shot wounds.
Abstract:<正> Bovine Pulmonary surfaetant was obtained by endotracheal lavage oflungs from newly slaughtered calves fallowed by differential centrifugation.Lipidextracts of bovine surfactant contained 86.1±2.1% of phospholipids((?)±SD),1.8±1.1% of protein, and smaller amounts of cholesterol, fatty acids, glyceridesand carbohydrate.Phosphatidylcholine(83.4±5.6%)accounted for most of thephospholipids,of which disaturated pbosphatidylcholine was 76.0±4.7%.Thephysic(?)chemical properties of bovine sarfactant were measured with a modifiedWilhelmy film balance made by the authors. The minimum surface tension was2.4±1.5mN/m,stability index 1.78±0.15.surface eompressibility at 10mN/m0.022±0.004m/mN,and surface concentration of phospholipids at 10 mN/m1.112±0.283 nmol/cm2.The surfactant spread rapidly and could be quicklyadsorbed to the air liquid interface. The results show that the bovine pulmonarysurfactant we isolated is able to meet the criteria for investigations of surfactantreplacement therapy.
