A method to localize N-acetylcholine receptor at neuromuscular junctionby using α-BT-HRP conjugate is described.Intact strips of fresh musclewere incubated with α-BT-HRP conjugate at a concentration of 1×10

Min Tyrode’s solution and then reacted with Karnovsky’s DAB medium.Various vesicular forms of brownish red reaction products were seen un-der light microscope.Under electron microscope

reaction products wereseen both on the presynaptic and postsynaptic membranes.The bindingactivity and reliability of α-BT-HRP are discussed.
