<正> This paper reported 15 patients with cardiac failure undergoing emer-gency heart valve replacement.According to the different clinical andpahological conditions

these cases were divided into three groups:（1）acuterheumatic pancarditis;（2）acute attack of chronic heart failure;（3）acutebacterial endocarditis.There were 2 aortic valve replacements and 13 mitralvalve replacements

6 of the patients died early postoperatively and 9 ofthem remained long-term survivors

7 patients survived more than 1 yearand resumed their work.The indications for emergency heart valvereplacement
